COME FOR THE SIPS

stay for the sistahood!

Picture this…A group of melanated women are gathered together at a local wine bar in Gwinnett County, or the home of one our Sistahs. Some Sistahs are huddled in a corner laughing at the craziness of social media, others sharing wins and misses from their week, and an another group is reflecting on life while sharing valuable advice. Now, take another look around, do you notice the tie that binds? It’s that delightful glass (or bottle) of wine. Flowing as freely as the conversation – everyone is having a good time. The vibe is classy, sassy & responsible. The space we hold for each other is sacred, and safe.

Whether it be Chardonnay, Cabernet or some varietal in between, if monthly wine themed meetups and improving your wine IQ sounds like your vibe, the ladies of SistahSips are your tribe and we’re glad you’re here. Welcome to the community, Sis!
Cheers! 🍷

let’s meet our

Camille

What’s your role within Sistah Sips Society, and what inspired you to join the group?
Hi, I’m Camille, founder of Sistah Sips Society, wine enthusiast, and lifelong believer in the power of connection.

My journey with wine began at my 30th birthday when I decided to host my very first wine tasting. Looking back, I knew so little about wine then – but I knew it made me feel sophisticated, and I loved how it brought people together. That’s what I’ve always loved about wine: there are no strangers in wine, only new acquaintances, and if you’re lucky, great friends.

What’s your favorite part of being a part of Sistah Sips Society, and what does the group mean to you?
Fast forward to today, and that passion has grown into Sistah Sips Society. I created this space for women who want to explore wine at their own pace, from curious beginners to seasoned collectors. This is a “come as you are” group—a place to sip, share, and connect over a shared love for wine and sisterhood. Beyond the bottles, you’ll find a community where you belong.

Professionally, I bring over 20 years of experience in Supply Chain Management and Retail Leadership, where I’ve learned that success — whether it’s delivering the perfect vintage or meeting business goals, is all about people and connection. The same values of collaboration, growth, and excellence shape Sistah Sips Society.

Outside of Sistah Sips, I’m a wife to an incredible husband and mom to three amazing boys who keep my life full and exciting. My husband and I love visiting wineries and tasting rooms together, almost as much as we enjoy sharing a bottle at home while unwinding.

Sistah Sips is a space I created for me, and women like me, but it’s also a way to remind my sons to never stop dreaming and to always be bold enough to chase those dreams.

What’s your go-to wine or favorite drink to sip on and why?
The two wines that began my journey are a testament to my personality. The first white wine I fell for was Relax Riesling (I’m still learning to relax today!), and my first red love was Woop Woop Shiraz.

Today, I’m definitely Team Red, but I’ve discovered so many white wines I enjoy along the way.

Let’s sip, savor, and grow together. Cheers! 🥂

What’s your role within Sistah Sips Society, and what inspired you to join the group?
I’m the certified group expert, having passed my WSET level 2.

What’s your favorite part of being a part of Sistah Sips Society, and what does the group mean to you?
The group keeps me on my toes as several people send me messages asking for wine recommendations. The favorite part of the group is that we all come without being judgemental on someone’s journey. I rhink we all understand that we’re all in this to learn more about wine and the friendships formed is a huge plus.

What’s your go-to wine or favorite drink to sip on and why?
Is it bad that I don’t have a favorite wine…yet? I get to taste sooo many wines that keeping track of my favorites is hard especially when most of them are not available in the US. Of late I’ve been drinking more whites, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised with some red’s ; therefore the quest continues.

What’s one memorable experience you’ve had with Sistah Sips Society that stands out to you?
All events planned by SSS have been memorable and great, but the two that stood out were the French tasting because it was very intimate and the one where we created affirmations for each other. The sincerity and vulnerability is what made them amazing and stand out.

What’s your role within Sistah Sips Society, and what inspired you to join the group?
I’m the Community Liaison, which means I’m the one out scouting new wine bars and fun experiences for us to enjoy. If you’ve got ideas for meetups, events, or ways to grow our group, I’d love to hear them—let’s make it happen!

What’s your favorite part of being a part of Sistah Sips Society, and what does the group mean to you?
I absolutely love the diversity in this group—it feels like home! I didn’t know much about wine when I first joined, but the sisterhood hooked me. Now, I’m chilling my white wines and pairing them like a pro.

What’s your go-to wine or favorite drink to sip on and why?
I’m all about a sweet Riesling—it’s my happy place! But I also have a soft spot for a bold, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon.

What’s one memorable experience you’ve had with Sistah Sips Society that stands out to you?
Every meetup is special, but what really stands out is the sense of belonging. I love connecting with the amazing women here, spending time with our admin team, and meeting new faces. The vibes are always on point, and it just feels like family!

Sandra

What’s your role within Sistah Sips Society, and what inspired you to join the group?
My role within Sistah Sips Society, is that of “Sisterhood Ambassador.” This group is not just about the love of wine, it is also about community and connections. I help to curate a sense of belonging through new member follow-up, acknowledgment of milestones/life events, wellness checks, and help ensure that our Sistah’s feel seen, valued and supported.

What’s your favorite part of being a part of Sistah Sips Society, and what does the group mean to you?
As a primarily ‘social’ drinker and wine novice, initially I wasn’t sure this group was for me; however, I did want to learn more about wines. I was asked by the groups founder to join the Admin team after explaining to her that being a part of a strong “Sisterhood” was near and dear to my heart and more important than wine, to me! She explained that her vision for the group was to embrace and integrate both, therefore working collaboratively would be a perfect combination. The rest is history.

What’s your go-to wine or favorite drink to sip on and why?
At the beginning of my journey I only consumed cheap red wine blends; that is no longer my preference. I am a Cabernet Sauvignon sippin Sistah now. I like a good dry to off-dry Cabernet because it’s Bold & Beautiful and lower in residual sugar/calories.

What’s one memorable experience you’ve had with Sistah Sips Society that stands out to you?
I have two. At our first Galentines brunch event, we engaged in an activity that required us to all be a little vulnerable. Tears were flowing, and it was the experience none of us even knew that we needed. We were able to exhale. The next memorable event was our first game night; it was a blast! We ate, drank, laughed, played competitive games, sang and just had a good time fellowshipping together.

What’s your role within Sistah Sips Society, and what inspired you to join the group?
My role with Sistah Sip Society is membership and engagement! I approve the members, encourage engagement on the posts and events. I also encourage events that will boosts membership and support engagement. My love for wine was just not enough to just drink it, but to find a safe space where learning, connecting and enjoying with other wine enthusiasts was a must. Gaining more knowledge of wine, pairing and other basic knowledge was a no longer a want but a need in my life.

What’s your favorite part of being a part of Sistah Sips Society, and what does the group mean to you?
My favorite part of being apart of Sistah Sip Society is the engagement and networking! Getting to know so many wonderful women and their families. I have made not just connections but I have made real lifelong friends! I have met all amazing and wonderful women and some of their families. It has been so beautiful watching some of them grow and increase their wine knowledge because of the group. I am always super excited to watch growth in any avenue but most especially through one’s passion and in this case it is wine. This group means passion and love to me! I see this in everyone in the group that I have engaged with. Most people when they join the group they think that they have only “joined a group” they quickly come to realize that they have joined a family that is filled with knowledge, laughter, fun and wine.

What’s your go-to wine or favorite drink to sip on and why?
My go to wine is anything Pinot Noir! This wine soothes my emotions no matter the kind of moment I am having. I love trying the different kinds of Pinot Noirs and learning the different taste from the different Vineyards. I have certainly had wine that i thoroughly enjoy and I have had wine that I just am not sure if I can finish that glass. I have learned that not all wine on the shelf is carefully made and that some are made for the name behind the bottle but some have a real passion for winemaking and it proves after popping the cork.

What’s one memorable experience you’ve had with Sistah Sips Society that stands out to you?
Our founder Camille Blake and her welcoming compassionate approach to SistahSip! Camille has made the group extra special for me, I remember upon meeting her she asked me for my address and in a short while I opened my front door to a beautiful and exciting wine basket with wines and other trinkets of gifts. It was even more special to grow closer to her and learn that we share the same birthday. I have met many beautiful women but these first memories have certainly stuck with me in a very special way!
